Introducing the new mobile app for Teamwork test

At Teamwork, our two core values are “put our customers first” and “strive for excellence.”  Our mindset will always be to listen to customer pain points, gather feedback, visualize the best solutions, and adapt to develop software you’ll love to use. 

We understand that project management software needs to be easily accessible, whether you’re at your desk or on the go, which is why we’ve decided to build new native iOS and Android apps for Teamwork users. The new Teamwork app is beautifully designed to provide all customers with an exceptional user experience. 

The speed of the new app is incomparable to the original versions, and it was specifically built with performance and ease-of-use in mind. Our product features work more intuitively than ever before, and most importantly the app is centered around helping you get through your working day. 

What does this mean for current mobile app users?

Putting it mildly, our old app was a little dated. There were some issues that caused pauses and delays, while the user experience and the user interface were not up to the technical strength needed for modern project management and the software itself was no longer fit for purpose.

The old mobile app will be removed from the app stores. If you're currently using it, it will stay on your phone and you can continue to use it. However we strongly encourage you to download (iOS | Android) the new app, as all development and upkeep of the old app has now stopped, as we continue to build out the functionality of our new apps.

Key features that are in the new app

We surveyed current mobile app users to better understand which features were essential to your workflow. This helped our team prioritize these key features to ultimately deliver the best mobile app to all our customers:

  • Project Home Page: See upcoming meetings and essential daily statistics.

  • My Day: Bring together all your important information for the day on one screen.

  • Full Calendar: View all upcoming events and meetings directly from a mobile device.

  • Notifications: Receive incoming notifications from the Teamwork app to stay on top of every project, task, or meeting.

  • Project and Task Lists: Gain access to all associated information on your project and task lists.

  • Quick Adds: Easily create projects, tasks, events, messages, time logs, and set reminders within the app.

  • Quick Search: Filter through any project or your entire account to find what you need.

 *Note there are some differences between both the iOS and Android apps. Teamwork is continuously working to improve and add value to both. To achieve this, we work in three-week cycles and update the app in the same time period with new features or enhancements. If you have any feedback, we’d love to hear from you as customer feedback is key to the future development of our app and to help our team prioritize features in each build.

What features have yet to be moved into the new app?

As we mentioned, this is the first release of the new Teamwork mobile app and we’re so excited to keep adding value where you need it the most. However as we strive to reach our vision for the mobile app, we want to let the current app users know there are some features that are not yet available on the newest version:

  • All Projects (Everything tab in the web app)

  • Dashboard

  • Overview > Summary

  • Creating and Editing Notebooks 

  • Risks

  • Saved Filters are not everywhere (currently only on tasks)

  • Share extensions

  • Links in Android

We encourage you to download (iOS | Android) the new mobile app and send any feedback you think would be valuable for you. This feedback will help us constantly ensure we are delivering the next most important features for you! For those on Android, you can access the feedback section in the “drawer,” while iOS users can leave feedback via the Global Home options.
